Update

At 8 am Sunday 5 inches of new snow fell overnight at the Challenger snow stake with moderate snow falling and a temperature of 21 degrees in the village. For today, expect light snow to continue, with an additional 2-4” inches likely by last chair and a high temperature of 28 degrees at 8,000 feet. Winds will be light out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

The snow will clear out by Sunday evening, setting things up for a sunny Monday with light winds and a high of 30 degrees at 8,000 feet. Looking into the rest of next week, a mix of sun and clouds looks to be the basic forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday with daytime highs in the low-to-mid 30s at 8,000 feet. Snow showers return Thursday and Friday but no big storms are on the horizon.
