Summary
Sunday night through Monday night’s storm dropped a respectable 7” on Lone Mountain and 6” on Andesite, 3” of which fell overnight Monday night. Now a crisp and sunny Tuesday to enjoy the stellar conditions around Big Sky. Dry weather sticks around through Thursday before a small disturbance rolls through Thursday night into Friday with 1-3” possible. Arctic air looms for the upcoming weekend...

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 8 degrees in the Village and 7 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). 5” of new snow was reported in the last 24-hours, 3” of which fell overnight. Skies are currently clear over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. Light North/NW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 5mph.
Today expect mostly sunny skies, with chilly temperatures across both mountains. Daytime temps will struggle to reach 15 degrees across the mid/upper mountain at 8900’. North/NW winds will add to the coldness at 5-10mph. Winds flip over to SW in the afternoon at 15mph with ridge top gusts to 25mph.
Extended Forecast:
Expect a few more clouds to mix with the sun on Wednesday with slightly warmer temps and a high of 21 degrees (at 8900’). Clouds increase for a mostly cloudy day on Thursday before a weak storm system moves into the region Thursday night into Friday bringing chances of 1-3”. The sun returns on Saturday and Sunday but with cold arctic air that look to bring daytime highs to around 10-12 degrees at 8900’.
