Small Storm Getting Smaller
Summary
Overcast skies today will produce light snow this afternoon as a narrow band of moisture starts moving through the region. Have downgraded snow potentials to around an inch today, with 1-3” overnight into Friday morning. This weekend looks mostly sunny with below average daytime temperatures. The dryness continues into early next week as well.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 19 degrees in the Village and 19 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). No new snow was reported in the last 24-hours. Skies are currently cloudy over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. West winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 6mph with a recent gust to 12mph.
Today expect mostly cloudy skies with light snow developing through the afternoon hours with a 70% chance of an inch by last chair at 4pm. High temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (9000’) will be around 20 degrees by mid-afternoon. Light West/SW winds will be at 7-10mph.
Extended Forecast:
Another wave of moisture moves through Thursday night bringing better chances (80%) of another 1-3” into 9am on Friday. Friday overall will be cloudy with occasional snow flurries with a high temp of 18 degrees at 9000’. The sun returns on Saturday and Sunday but with cold Canadian air that look to bring daytime highs to around 14-16 degrees at 8900’. Recent model runs now unfortunately show a dry forecast for the Monday through Wednesday time period.
