Sunny Sunday on Tap

Summary

A ridge of high-pressure builds in on Sunday for a mix of mostly sunny skies with a few high clouds and slightly warmer high temps of around 20 degrees at the 9000’ level. West/SW winds of 15-20, with gusts to 30 mph will keep the ridgetops blustery. No storms on the horizon as high-pressure sticks around until the end of next week unfortunately.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 2 degrees in the Village and 0 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. 1 inch of snow fell in the past 24-hours. Currently the skies are clear over Lone and Andesite mountains. At Andesite Mountain at 8800’ winds are currently blowing out of the N/NE at 4 mph with a recent gust to 9 mph.

Today expect partly sunny skies with high temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) to be around 18 to 20 degrees. Temps will be quite cold during the morning hours, barely reaching 10 degrees by 11am. Winds will be blowing out of the West/SW at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 30 mph across the ridge tops.

Extended Forecast:

High-pressure ridging will keep things dry Monday through Saturday. Yep, looks like an extended dry spell unfortunately. Expect mostly sunny skies along with a warming trend as well. High temperatures across the alpine terrain (9000’) could approach 32 degrees by Wednesday and 40 by Friday.

Powder Out –
