Snow Forecast

View → 10-Day Snow Forecast

Breckenridge picked up 6 inches for Wednesday morning's report thanks to very intense snowfall on Tuesday afternoon. This is right in line with the 4-8 inch forecast from Monday's update.

Cloudy skies and off-and-on light snow showers will now remain in place through Wednesday afternoon ahead of clearing skies through Wednesday night. Mid-mountain temps will climb into the 30s by midday Wednesday and drop into the teens on Wednesday night.

Mild and dry weather will then quickly follow on Thursday. Expect clear skies. light winds, and mid-mountain temps in the 40s. Friday will be much of the same but mid-mountain temps will likely reach into the 50s as well-above-average temps slide into Colorado. Saturday will also be very warm, though increasing cloud coverage and maybe a few high-elevation showers will signal an approaching storm for early next week.

Extended Forecast

Sunday, May 2 through Tuesday, May 4 will be the time to watch for another round of high-elevation snow showers, though mild temps will limit our chances for significant accumulations.

Looking further ahead, mild and dry conditions will follow through the second half of next week. There could then be another chance for high-elevation snow around Sunday, May 9 but it will become increasingly difficult in terms of snow as we head deeper into May.

Thanks for reading! Check back for my final update and 20/21 season recap on Friday (4/30).
