Light Snow for the Coast Range Saturday

Summary

Light snow will fall across the North and South Coast Ranges and across the North Rockies from Saturday through Saturday night, while the Columbias/Kootenays will only see flurries. Sunday will be dry for most areas aside from lingering flurries along the Coast Range and around Fernie and the Lizard Range. A strong storm will begin to impact Northern BC on Monday, before spreading into Southern BC on Tuesday (New Year’s Eve) with heavy snow expected for most areas. Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning (New Year’s Day) will offer the deepest powder turns for most areas. Light snow will continue for many areas on Wednesday before the next storm arrives around Thursday-Friday (January 2nd-3rd) with another round of heavy snow possible. Much colder air is expected to arrive during the weekend of January 4th-5th along with continued light snow chances.
