More Snow on Friday Favoring the Coast Range

Summary

A break in the pattern is occurring for all but Northern BC, with most areas experiencing clearing skies and cold temperatures. The break will be short-lived as the next storm arrives late Thursday night, bringing heavy snow to the Coast Range on Friday and light to moderate snow to the Interior. Light snow will linger across the Interior on Saturday, before another storm arrives on Sunday with the heaviest snow expected across southern areas closer to the Washington border. Cold and mostly dry conditions will prevail from about Monday, January 13th through Thursday, January 16th as the storm track shifts farther south into the US. The latest model trends for the extended range are now indicating we could start seeing storms return around the 17th or 18th as the storm track starts to shift back to the north again.
