Snow Returns Wednesday and Thursday

Summary

Frigid temperatures remain in place across all of BC as of Tuesday afternoon with —10s to -20s Celsius across the Coast Range and -20s to -30s Celsius across the Interior. The next storm will bring light snow to the Coast Range and flurries to the Interior late Tuesday night through Wednesday, with heavier snow falling on Wednesday night and Thursday as the strongest part of the storm arrives. Snow will favor the Coast Range, but the latest trends are pointing toward heavier snow for the Southern Interior as well. Thursday morning will offer the deepest turns for all areas. After a brief break during the day Friday, another storm will arrive late Friday night and into Saturday. The latest trends have shifted this storm farther west, which will favor the Coast Range with heavy snow once again while the Interior will see only light snow. The pattern of Coast Range storms and light snow for the Interior will persist on Sunday and Monday, but snow levels will also be on the rise as warmer air arrives. The Interior should start to see a more favorable storm track by around the middle of next week.
