Powder Thursday, More for Coastal BC This Weekend
Summary
Mt. Washington and Whistler were the big winners for snowfall Wednesday night, with 24-hour totals of 46 cm (18”) and 33 cm (13”) reported, respectively. Moderate snow will continue through the day Thursday across the Coast Range and Interior before tapering off Thursday night. Friday morning should offer some leftover powder, but Thursday is the day to be out on the slopes. The next storm will arrive late Friday night and bring heavy snow to the Coast Range throughout the day Saturday with good storm skiing all day. The Interior will only see light snow from this storm. The Coast Range will be in the flow for additional snow on Sunday and Monday, but snow levels will be on the rise, ranging from 900-1,200 meters, and possibly higher on Monday. Another storm will arrive Tuesday and should bring better snow to the Interior compared to the weekend cycle. Another storm will then be possible for all areas later next week, around Thursday, January 23rd.
