Unseasonably cold with only light/spotty snow through the weekend

Summary

Ski season is winding down for most of BC with only 6 areas remaining open through this weekend, and only 3 after this weekend. A deep trough of low pressure over Western North America will continue to result in near-record cold for mid-April but the storm track will stay south from Thursday-Sunday. Moisture and instability will result in daily cloud build-ups and scattered snow showers/flurries.
