OUT with the Old & IN with the New
Summary
The balmy upper-level ridge of high-pressure hangs strong through the majority of the New Year’s Weekend. A zonal flow develops on NY’s Eve with some remnant Pacific moisture bringing chances of 3–5cm for those resorts closest to the Divide through noon NY’s Day. Cooler on Monday as well. Not much after that but by January 4 the pattern gets stormier with measurable snowfall likely next weekend.
