Warmer weekend, then on the edge of the storm track next week

Summary

This weekend, we will slowly emerge out of Friday's deep freeze, and skies will wind up mostly sunny and mostly dry. Then starting around Wednesday, December 21, we'll be on the edge of the storm track with the northern mountains being favored for multiple rounds of snowfall. Slight changes in the storm track could create a large change in snowfall totals.
