Calm week, stormy outlook

Summary

Snow fell on-and-off during the day on Sunday with many mountains enjoying fantastic conditions on Christmas Day. A few more inches accumulated on Sunday night, so there should be fresh turns on Monday morning as well. Most of this week will be dry, then the weather pattern will become cooler and stormier starting around New Years and lasting through at least the following week (January 2-6, 2017).
