Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Snow fell from Monday midday through Monday at about midnight. The accumulation during the day Monday was about 1 inch and on Monday night an additional 1 inch accumulated on the mid-mountain snow stake. This brings the storm total to 2 inches, which should make the snow surface a little softer on Tuesday morning. We did not see the possible pop in snowfall on Monday night, though a little pop did occur nearby, so we were close.

Tuesday will be a mostly dry day.

From late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon, we’ll see another chance for snow. This storm will take a track that will be far south of Colorado, so my expectations for snow are low, maybe just a few inches, if that. There is a chance, though, that we could see a burst of snow on Wednesday afternoon or evening when the storm moves closer, so perhaps we’ll get more snow than the forecast shows.

Wednesday night through Thursday morning should be dry.

From Thursday afternoon through Friday morning, we could see another shot of light snow from a fast-moving storm to our north, and Friday night could bring yet another wave of light snow. Accumulations from both of these systems should be light, but I’ll take the flakes, even if it’s just a few of them.

Saturday and Sunday should be dry with warmer weather. Temperatures will rise into the 30s on Saturday and into the 40s on Sunday.

Monday will be a transition day, leaving the warm weather from Sunday and heading into a colder storm. Expect snow to begin Monday afternoon or Monday night and continue through Tuesday as temperatures drop into the teens and maybe single digits.

Then additional chances for snow could continue through the end of next week as a series of storms may track into Colorado from the northwest.

As I’ve been saying for the past week, this consistent snowfall is good news!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
