Update

Thursday morning is when our last storm exited and we saw a quick 1 inch of snow before the storm finally pushed away. The rest of the day had mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature in the teens to 20s.

Friday will start with a temperature inversion, meaning that the base area will be a little colder than most of the mountain. Temperatures will quickly equalize across the mountain by mid-morning and we should see a high in the low 30s. Enjoy a beautiful day with full sunshine.

Saturday will also be a dry and mostly sunny day with warm temperatures topping out in the 30s.

The next storm will bring snow from late Saturday night through Monday. Any snow on Saturday night and Sunday will be scattered and random, then we have the best chance for steadier and intense snow from Sunday night into Monday morning. Monday could be a low-to-moderate-end powder day with 5+ inches of new snow.

We might see a short break from the snow later on Monday, then a second storm will bring snow from Tuesday through Wednesday. The latest forecast models are pushing this storm’s track to the north which would result is light snow and just a few inches of accumulation. If the track of the storm moves back to the south, we would see more snow with a possible powder day on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Next Thursday and Friday look dry, and the dry weather will likely continue for at least a few more days. However, I can’t rule out some snow returning, starting on or around March 7-8th, if a system happens to push east towards Colorado from the main area of storminess which will set up shop along the west coast.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
