Copper Mountain Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 3 years ago November 30, 2020
1-4 inches Tuesday & Wednesday at Copper
Summary
Monday will be sunny, then a cold storm will bring light snow from Tuesday morning through Wednesday night with a few inches of accumulation and high temperatures in the teens.
Short Term Forecast
Opening Day is today, November 30th!
Like the weekend’s weather, Monday will be sunny, dry, and warm with high temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Then a cold storm will arrive on Tuesday with a period of steady snow in the morning followed by light and intermittent snow showers hanging around through Wednesday night.
Unfortunately, the storm’s lack of moisture will limit snow accumulations, but cold temperatures should create fluffy snow that could add up to 1-4 inches with a lot of that falling on Tuesday morning.
The bigger story of the week will not be the snow but rather the cold temperatures which should top out in the teens on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. These chilly readings will allow crews to make snow around the clock.
Extended Forecast
The midweek storm will move away on Thursday which means that Friday will be dry and warmer with high temperatures in the 20s.
The outlook from Saturday, December 5 through Thursday, December 10 is for dry weather, sunny skies, and comfortable temperatures with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s. There is a small chance for a few snow showers around Tuesday, December 8th.
The next significant storm could arrive between Thursday night, December 10, and Sunday, December 13. This is still a 10+ day forecast so I cannot offer any details, but I am excited that at least we have a chance for a stronger storm. Do your snow dance!
