Copper Mountain Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 3 years ago February 13, 2021
Snow continues through Saturday night at Copper
Summary
Saturday morning will offer freshies, and another storm will bring snow on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night.
Short Term Forecast
On Friday, we saw 1 inch accumulate during the day, and then on Friday night, an additional 5 inches fell across the mountain. That brings the 24-hour snow report to 6 inches. Enjoy the powder on Saturday morning, which might feel a bit thicker due to warm temperatures.
On Saturday, the morning will be dry or offer just light showers. Then the snow will ramp up again by midday or early afternoon and we’ll see showers through Saturday night. On Saturday night, even though the wind direction will not be favorable, enough storm energy could hang around to create at least a few inches of snow with accumulations between about 1-6 inches (yes, that’s a big range, as the forecast is very uncertain).
On Sunday we should see cold temperatures and maybe a few lingering snow showers during the first half of the day.
Extended Forecast
We will see three storms next week.
The first storm will bring snow from Monday night through Wednesday with 3-6+ inches.
The second storm should bring snow from Thursday night through Friday night.
The third storm should bring snow from Saturday into Sunday (February 20-21)
We are in a great storm cycle and it will continue for at least one more week. I hope that you’re enjoying the snow!
