Copper Mountain Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 3 years ago February 16, 2021
Flakes will fall on Tuesday as well as Friday to Sunday at Copper
Summary
Tuesday morning will offer soft turns with more snow throughout the day. Then two additional storms will bring snow from Friday through Sunday.
Short Term Forecast
Snow fell from Monday late afternoon through Tuesday early morning with 2 inches accumulating across the mountain and most of this fell on Monday night. This means that there will be soft turns on Tuesday morning and snow showers will continue all day on Tuesday and likely through Tuesday night, so the snow could become even more fun throughout the day on Tuesday and also on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday and Wednesday night, colder and drier air will move in and lingering snow showers will likely lead to light or little snow accumulation.
Thursday should be dry as we’ll be in between storms.
On Friday, we’ll see a weak storm bring flakes back into the forecast, and at least a few inches could accumulate during the day and into the evening.
Then on Saturday, snow should ramp up during the day and continue on Saturday night which means that both Saturday afternoon’s last chair and Sunday morning’s first chair could offer powder and I’ll stick with my initial thought about accumulations in the 5-10 inch range.
Extended Forecast
Monday through Wednesday, February 22-24, should be dry.
Thursday, February 25 is about the time we should see our next chance for snow.
Then between about Friday, February 26, and Monday, March 1, a stormy and cold weather pattern could set up somewhere over the western US. With some luck, this pattern could bring us more snow.
