Copper storm update
Summary
Snow fell from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning and snow will continue through Monday mid-morning. Expect more snow late Tuesday into Wednesday and March 21-24.
Short Term Forecast
Snow started during the late afternoon on Saturday and it continued on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Now on Sunday morning, the snow total is about 4 inches from Saturday afternoon + 4 inches from Saturday night = 8 inches. But snow is falling heavily as I write this at around 600am and we should see moderate to intense snow continue through the day and into Sunday evening. Then we could see a lull on Sunday evening with more snow on Monday morning. Another 6-12 inches could fall during this time which would make conditions fun on Sunday and also on Monday morning.
On Monday night and Tuesday morning, we’ll see a break in the snow.
Then from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, the next storm should bring light-to-moderate snow totals. I have low confidence in the amount of snow and it could be anything from a few inches to 6+ inches. The best turns should be Tuesday’s last chair or Wednesday’s first chair.
Extended Forecast
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we will see dry and warmer weather with high temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
Then from Sunday, March 21 to Wednesday, March 24, a series of storms will bring snow back to Colorado and we might be able to enjoy a powder day or two during this time.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
