Thursday will be cold, some snow for Friday

Summary

Dress warmly on Thursday as temperatures will be in the single digits.

Update

Wednesday was delivered 2 inches of accumulation.

Then on Wednesday night, a favorable wind from the northwest another 2 inches of snow, and this should make for a soft and fun morning on Thursday.

Storm total snowfall from Monday night to Thursday morning is about 10 inches, which is okay for a storm that had a poor setup for us.

Thursday during the day will bring lingering snow showers in the morning and dry and very cold temperatures with a high in the single digits.

Then on Thursday night and Friday, a storm will sneak into Colorado. We will see snow showers and the best chance for accumulating snow will be from Friday morning through Friday evening – we could get anything from a few flakes to a few inches of snow. Friday will be another cold day with a high in the low teens.

Saturday will be dry, sunny, and warmer with a high temperature in the teens. Then Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be warm with highs in the 30s.

Looking far ahead, a stormy weather pattern will develop over the western US and the Rockies during early March and we could see snow any time between March 3 to March 8 and maybe beyond. However, at this point, it's too early to know how this storminess will impact us here in Colorado and which days have the best chance for snow.
