Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

The good news this morning is that it looks like we'll see a bit more snow than I originally thought with the storm on Saturday night and Sunday. Snow should begin late Saturday night and will continue on-and-off during the day on Sunday. Accumulations could be about 3-5 inches on the Sunday morning snow report, with another 2-4 inches falling during the day on Sunday. There is a risk that snowfall will be lighter on Saturday night if the cold front weakens as it crosses the state, but most models are showing this front sticking together, so I'll go with this optimistic scenario. Initially on Sunday morning it might be better to stick to the groomers as the base will be hard, but if we can get a few more inches during the day on Sunday, the base might soften up and it could feel like a nice little powder day.

The snow will taper off on Sunday night, and Monday will be dry. Looking ahead, snow showers could return with light accumulations between next Tuesday evening and Friday morning.
