Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago December 18, 2014
Alright sports fans, it's time to get excited for the snowy future ahead. Two inches of snow fell on Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, and we could see a few more snow showers on Thursday into Friday morning with perhaps another inch or two of accumulation. After a mostly dry period from Friday midday through Saturday midday, the weather is going to become very interesting between Sunday and Tuesday morning. A moist flow from the northwest should bring moderate to heavy snow to Copper from Sunday evening through the day on Monday and continuing into Tuesday morning. Total accumulations during this time should be between 1-2 feet, so hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the powder on Monday and Tuesday. We might see a lull in the snowfall on Wednesday, then a colder storm will bring heavy snow back to Copper Mountain on Thursday, Christmas Day. If you're reading between the lines, you might notice that we could see fresh snow every day next week. That makes me smile! Stay cautiously optimistic about the powder days ahead, and check back Friday morning for an update!
