Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

I have good news to share, so let's get right to it. First, this week has been kind to us with light snow for the last two-to-three days. Consistent light snow won't make a big news story, but it does make for soft and fun conditions. Friday will turn drier by midday and afternon, but this won't last. Additional clouds and light snow could fall on Saturday, then moderate to times of heavy snow will fall starting either late Saturday night or Sunday morning and continue through Tuesday morning. Storm totals over these 2-3 days should be in the 1-2 FOOT range, with perhaps more snow if the atmosphere feels generous. This storm will have lots of moisture, a wind from the northwest (great for Copper), and plenty of energy from the jet stream. Even though temperatures will be a bit warmer than I'd like to see (low to mid 20s is the forecast), snow conditions should still be great, and Tuesday morning might be the best time to find fluffy powder as the air cools by a few degrees.

Looking ahead, Wednesday could be a drier day, then Christmas Day into next Friday should offer another significant storm, and this time it'll be a colder system.

Stay tuned for daily updates to help guide you to the pow!
