Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago December 23, 2014
What a fantastic storm this has been for Copper with 29 inches over the last two days! The snow report shows 12 inches on Tuesday morning, with 8 of those inches falling during the day on Monday and another 4 inches falling Monday night after lifts closed. The extra couple of inches on Monday night plus continued wind should do a nice job of filling in some of Monday's tracks, so look for great conditions on Tuesday morning!
Tuesday's weather will feature lingering clouds and light snow showers or flurries, with perhaps more breaks of sun later in the day. Skies should clear out Tuesday night, then Wednesday will be a sunny and dry day. Our next storm will arrive on Thursday morning and last through Friday, with perhaps 3-6 inches of snow. This storm looks like it's going to split as it moves over Colorado, so I'm not as excited about it as I was a few days ago. That said, there could be some soft turns for Thursday afternoon or more likely Friday morning. After that system, Saturday should be dry, with additional snow likely on Sunday and Monday the 29th.
