Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago February 3, 2015
The snow report shows that 1/2 an inch fell Monday night, and then about another inch of snow fell between 5am and 7am on Tuesday morning, so there will be a little fresh out there this morning. There should be additional snow showers on Tuesday morning, but the snow should end by midday and this break will last through Tuesday evening.
From Tuesday midnight through Wednesday midnight, look for times of heavier snow with 6-10+ inches likely accumulating during this time. Wednesday should be a fun day to ski, and Thursday first chair could be powdery as well if we can get a few inches of snow to fall after lifts close on Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures during this storm will be a few degrees warmer than I'd like to see, so my confidence in snowfall amounts is lower than normal. But still, Wednesday and Thursday AM should offer the best powder of the next 7 days, so get out and enjoy it. Looking ahead, we'll have chances for light snow Saturday through Sunday (low accumulations) and perhaps a stronger storm around Tuesday, February 10th.
