Mostly sunny skies and very warm temperatures will be the story on Friday. Bust out the t-shirts and shorts because mid-mountain temps will be in the low to mid 40s! The sun likely cooked any remaining powder stashes yesterday but there may be a few surprises left in the shade covered north facing slopes. Overall, just get out there and enjoy the gorgeous day.

For Saturday, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. A few flurries may fly during the afternoon but it's nothing to get excited about. Copper will then see its next real shot at snow beginning on Saturday night. 1-2" is possible through Sunday afternoon though I think temperatures will just be too warm to really get things going. Skies will begin to clear on Sunday night ahead of a mostly sunny day on Monday. Snow will return to the forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday but the details are still up in the air. Stay tuned!

Joel is off the grid for two days at the Opus Hut in southern Colorado. He’ll return to forecasting on Sunday morning. Until then, you’re stuck with me:-)
