Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago February 15, 2015
I'm confident that Sunday's temperatures will be 10F degrees colder than Saturday, and Monday's temperatures will be 10F degrees colder than Sunday. What I'm not confident about is the snow totals. We'll see two storms move close to Copper on Sunday and Monday, and a few-mile shift in the storm track could mean the difference between just an inch of snow to perhaps up to 6 inches. Look for snow to fall on Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, and Monday, before tapering off on Monday night. I wish I could provide a more confident forecast of snow accumulations, but I just can't at this point. Keep an eye on the snow stake camera, and know that Monday could be anything from a day with dust-on-crust all the way to a low-end powder day.
After these two storms, Tuesday could offer a few snow showers, then Wednesday and Thursday will be dry. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (February 20-22nd), one or two storms could once again side-swipe northern Colorado, and yet again, the snowfall could be anywhere from a dusting to a powder day. Stay tuned as that forecast moves into better focus.
