Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

About 2-3 inches fell during a burst of snow on Sunday afternoon, and another 2-3 inches fell during a second burst of snow around midnight Sunday night. The official snow report tallies this as 5 inches over the 24 hours ending at 5am on Monday morning. With temperatures around 15F on the hill plus the fresh snow, this storm has definitely brought back the winter-time feel to Copper after some warm and sunny days. Enjoy the fresh snow!

For the rest of Monday, look for snow showers alternating with some peeks of sun. Accumulations should be a couple of inches. Snow showers could persist Monday night through midday Tuesday, so keep an eye on the snow-stake cam to see if we can sneak out a few more inches during this time. Moisture is marginal, but a northwest wind, the jet stream overhead, and cold temperatures can create more snow than the models forecast. Following this, Wednesday and Thursday will be dry, then we could see snow each day from Friday (2/20) through Monday (2/23). Stay tuned for details on this potential long-lived storm...
