Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 10 years ago February 28, 2015
A prolonged storm will affect Copper from Saturday through next Wednesday and snow flakes could be in the air during most of this time. That said, there will be waves of heavier snow and breaks of lighter or no snow. The first wave of heavier snow will be on Saturday afternoon and/or Saturday night, then there could be a break on Sunday morning. Following this, another and perhaps stronger wave of heavier snow could fall from Sunday night through Monday, and then after a break, snow could continue from Monday night through Wednesday. I have more confidence in the forecast from Saturday through Monday, and lower confidence in the timing of the heavier snow from Monday night through Wednesday. Overall, snow conditions will be excellent with a soft base and new snowfall, so get out and ride!
Following this storm, the atmosphere will dry out beginning on Wednesday night, and this dry weather should last at least through the middle of the following week (March 10th, ish).
