Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 9 years ago December 14, 2015
Monday will start sunny, but then clouds will increase during the day and snow should begin to fall late in the afternoon or early in the evening. If we’re lucky, this Monday-evening snow will come in a quick burst of 2-4 inches, with more to follow later in the night. However, the snowfall will be a bit hit-or-miss, so we’ll need a little luck to get the best totals. Then on Tuesday, a cold wind from the northwest should keep snow showers cranking, with total accumulations from Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon in the 4-8 inch range. Tuesday should be a fun day, and potentially a powder day if mother nature cooperates!
Light snow should continue on Wednesday and Thursday, and this combined with temperatures in the teens should keep the slopes soft, especially with fewer people on the hill during the middle of the week. We will see dry, warmer, and sunny weather on Friday through Sunday, then chances for snow will return during the week of Christmas.
