Update

Snow began to fall on Saturday night, dropping 2 inches, and light snow will continue through Sunday with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 20s.

Snow will continue to fall on Sunday night and Monday, accumulating to a few inches during each day and night period. Then we should experience a period of more intense snow from late Monday through Tuesday morning as a cold front moves into northern Colorado. This cold front should change the wind direction from the southwest to the west, and a west or even west-northwest wind is more favorable for Copper. Tuesday morning should be a powder day so I hope that you have the chance to enjoy a mid-week ski day!

After a lull in the snow on Tuesday, we should see snow re-intensify between about Tuesday night and Thursday, so Wednesday and/or Thursday morning could be another powder day.

Following this storm cycle from Sunday through Thursday, most of next weekend and the following week (January 14-20) should be sunny, so get your powder this week and your sunshine next week!
