Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

The first of three storms brought 1 inch of snow to Copper on Thursday night, and light snow will linger through at least the first half of Friday with another inch or so of accumulation.

Then we’ll see a break in the snow on Friday night and Saturday morning, with a second storm moving in on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. This second storm should drop 2-4 inches, or perhaps a bit more, by Sunday morning, so there should be soft and fresh turns if you’re out for first chair on Sunday.

Then after another break in the snow on Sunday, the third and final storm in the series will bring light snow on Sunday night and Monday, with the potential for more intense snow later on Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening. We might enjoy 4-8 inches of snow on Tuesday, and if we’re lucky, snow showers could continue on Tuesday night which should keep conditions soft on Wednesday morning.

If you’re a fan of sunny weather with bluebird skies, you’ll likely get your wish as we should see a dry and sunny period between about January 26 and February 3. After that, the longer-range models show a potential return to storminess beginning around February 5th.
