Update

Three inches of snow fell on Friday morning, with drier weather on Friday night. On Saturday, the morning should be dry as we wait for a storm to arrive from the southwest. Then light snow showers should begin during the middle of the day and continue through afternoon. I think our best chance for more intense snowfall will occur on Saturday evening, which should be perfect timing for you to enjoy fresh tracks on Sunday morning through 3-6 inches of new snow.

On Sunday, we’ll be in-between storms, so expect drier weather in the morning with some sunshine. Then clouds should thicken later in the afternoon and once again light snow should begin on Sunday evening. Light-to-moderate snow will then continue through Monday, with heavier snow likely sometime between late Monday night and Tuesday afternoon. If we’re lucky and things line up just right, additional snow will accumulate on Tuesday night. All of this means that your best chance to ski powder will be on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday first chair.

The weather on Wednesday and Thursday will be cool with a few snow showers mixed with sun. Then Friday through most of the following week will likely be dry and sunny. Snowy weather may return to Copper as early as about February 5th.
