Copper Mountain Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 8 years ago March 13, 2017
Update
A fast-moving storm brought snow showers to Copper during the middle of the day on Sunday, and about an inch of snow fell from these showers. Clouds then dissipated by sunset on Sunday evening, and now on Monday morning the sky is mostly clear and the temperature is around 20F. Expect partly-to-mostly sunny weather today on Monday with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
The warm and sunny weather will continue through the week. Expect firm conditions in the morning due to below freezing temperatures at night, and then the snow surface will warm and soften by mid-morning. Afternoon highs will be in the 40s this week with plenty of sun, so please remember to wear sunscreen and dress in layers so that you can remove clothing as the air heats up!
Following 7-10 days of spring skiing with mostly sunny weather, we should return to a stormier pattern starting sometime between March 22-25. Longer-range models continue to show multiple storms during the final 7 days of March and the first part of April.
