Update

The final round of snow on Tuesday night dropped 1-2 inches on Copper's mid-mountain snow stake. Now that the storm is over, all weather forecast models are showing mostly dry weather through next week, with just a small chance for light snow accumulations on Saturday and early next week.

Opening day is scheduled for Friday, November 10th, and OpenSnow's time-lapse webcam at Center Village shows that Copper was making snow all night Monday and all day Tuesday. Temperatures for the next few days will not be that cold, but they will be cold enough for nighttime snowmaking. I do not have any inside information on terrain opening, so like you, I am just hoping for the best.

Thanks for reading and check back each day for an updated forecast. I will keep you updated on snowmaking temperatures and when I see the next major storm heading toward Colorado.
