Clear and sunny in S. Idaho, big storm coming to N. Idaho Thursday

Summary

Sunny skies are forecast for Southern Idaho ski resorts on Wednesday, Jan. 2, and a storm is brewing in Northern Idaho, especially around Sandpoint and Schweitzer Mountain, where a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Thursday and Friday. Up to 10-15 inches of snow are forecast through that period for the Schweitzer Mountain area, and Silver Mountain and Lookout Pass are expected to get 3-5 inches of snow from that system. A new snow storm is coming to Southern Idaho on Sunday with several inches of snow expected.
