Good chance of snow Saturday-Sunday in Idaho
Summary
There's a strong chance of precipitation on Friday, but it's forecast to be a rain/snow mix turning to rain in the afternoon in most locations with highs in the high 30s to low 40s. Sun Valley got 2 inches overnight and skiing should be good on the top half of the mountain. Cooler temperatures are forecast to move into Idaho on Friday and Friday night with a cold front, bringing a good chance of snow this weekend. Snow levels are expected to drop to about 5,000 feet by Saturday in most locations. That's good news for a pond-skimming event at Brundage, a Duck Derby at Schweitzer, and other fun activities. This will be the last weekend of operation for Schweitzer Mountain and Pebble Creek Ski Area this season.
