Sunny and a little warmer on Thursday

Summary

Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures are forecast on Thursday statewide. Cool temperatures in the teens will greet skiers/riders in the morning, and then it will warm up to the high 20s in the afternoon. High temperatures will get progressively warmer by a few degrees each day through Saturday, when it will edge above freezing for a few hours of warm sunshine on the slopes. A new storm system will approach Idaho on Saturday night and deliver fresh snow on Sunday beginning by mid-day in most locations, with 5-6 inches max forecast at Northern Idaho resorts and 2-4 inches at Southern Idaho. The storm tapers on Monday/Tuesday and clear skies are predicted by next Wednesday.
