New storm coming Sunday/Sunday night, 4-8 inches of new at N. Idaho resorts

Summary

Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures are forecast on Friday statewide. High temperatures are forecast in the high 20s on Friday afternoon, and around freezing on Saturday. The arrival of a new storm system is now expected to be on Sunday/Sunday night statewide, with the best chance of snow to occur at Schweitzer, Silver and Lookout, with 4-8 inches of new snow forecast through Monday morning. The impact of the storm in Southern Idaho has been downgraded to light snow with only a max of 1-2 inches expected through Monday. The storm system tapers after Monday and clear skies are forecast on Tuesday in Southern Idaho and partly cloudy skies at North Idaho resorts with the possibility of lingering snow showers in the first half of next week.
