Snow Machine Hiatus

Summary

Snow travelers beware. Conditions are not favorable for recreation in the near term due to wet slab avalanches, strong winds, and generally sloppy snowpack. In fact, EXTREME AVALANCHE WARNINGS are in effect for the first time. We will re-group and dry out beginning tomorrow as we transition into an extended period with high pressure in control. Temperature inversions will develop by Sunday and intensify through next week. This means it will remain cold in the mountain valleys but warm and sunny on the hill for the groomers to fluff up the snow.
