Warm with High Elevation Snow

Summary

Today will be the coldest day of the stretch with temperatures in the mid 30’s. A surge of Pacific moisture will begin to stream in tonight and drop about a foot of heavy snow above 6500 feet. By Thursday temperatures will be on the rise in a big way and continue to stay warm through the middle of next week. All the while, bringing several periods of significant snow to the highest elevations. Another storm is forecast for next Thursday and Friday, but the recent computer models have been doing such a poor job that confidence in the outlook period is low.
