Cold and dry New Year's weekend

Summary

Happy New Year! The first day of 2022 is the coldest of the winter so far with temps starting out well below zero at all elevations. Cold and dry conditions will continue through the day on Monday, then a snowy pattern will return from Monday night (1/3) through next Saturday (1/8) with a series of storms arriving from the west/northwest.
