Play it Again Sam - More Snow!

Summary

Chaos over the Pacific Looking at the forecast models this evening, the pattern across the pacific over the next 10 days is in fairly rapid transition from the blocking pattern currently developing over Alaska and Bering Sea, i.e., the WPO, (Western Pacific Oscillation) to one that will transition back to a pattern with lower pressure in the same area. This pattern usually provides the west coast with ridging and warmer weather with a jet stream that is displaced further to the north. The big question is, will the ridge be strong enough to keep our weather fair or will it be a dirty ridge allowing some precipitation. (I am writing about the 2nd half of next week)
