Mammoth Daily Snow

Can You Smell The Pineapples?
Summary
Today is all about the Pineapple Express, the hoser from Hawaii. It is produced by a blocking high over Alaska, and a mid-latitude jet, undercutting the high pressure system, effectively suppressing the upper jet well south of its normal position. At the moment, it is configured to fetch moisture from just north of the Hawaiian islands to the central and northern coast of California. It is being carried more from WSW to ENE and is more of a wet pattern than the one that will hit Thursday night into Friday.
