The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Summary

The ‘Good’: Deep 24-hour snow totals (see below), the ‘Bad’: Frigid arctic airmass where many ski areas have either closed or restricted operations, and the ‘Ugly’: High NE winds around 40mph (-48F wind chill recorded at Whitefish Weds AM). A list of closures is furnished below. The arctic air will begin to modify by Friday afternoon and return to seasonal by Sunday as the next shortwave moves in.
