Montana Daily Snow

It’s a GOOD time to be in Montana…
Summary
Last night (Monday night) Lookout Pass received another 12” on top of the 12” from Sunday night, Whitefish another 5” to keep their incredible streak of constant pow-days going and Lost Trail another 4”. Over on the East side of the Divide, light snow amounted to about an inch at both Big Sky and Bridger. As advertised an active weather pattern will intensify tonight through Friday affecting both sides of the Divide. I’m keeping an eye on the possibility of an arctic intrusion Thursday night into Friday for mainly northwest Montana (Whitefish, Turner & Lookout) that could override warm and moist air and produce copious amounts of cold smoke powder. East side resorts on the North/Central side of the region still are on target for about a foot by Friday night with lesser amounts to the south with 3-6” possible at Big Sky and 1-3" at Bridger and Red Lodge. There will be a brief break on Saturday but snow looks to stay in the forecast through the weekend and well into next week.
