Montana Daily Snow

Large Gulf of Alaska Low set to impact portions of the Northern Rockies
Summary
A large low-pressure system spinning out of the Gulf of Alaska will release surges of moisture tonight through Wednesday night. Thursday this large low-pressure system moves inland and looks to stay just south of Montana but will still spin moderate amounts of moisture into SW Montana with places like (west to east) Lost Trail Pass, Big Sky and Red Lodge looking to pick up around 6-8” by Friday morning. Saturday is looking like a day of transition with clearing skies before the next 36-48 hour period of unsettled weather begins on Sunday evening. It’s been a pattern of 2 days of snow showers followed by a day of clearing and repeating off and on for the last 10 days and this springtime pattern looks to continue for yet another week.
