New England Daily Snow
By Plymouth State, Forecasters Posted 7 years ago February 28, 2017
Rain this week, winter this weekend
Summary
Spotty showers are possible throughout the day today ahead of our next storm. The main shield of precipitation associated with this system will arrive overnight tonight. Cold air over portions of ME and the White Mountains may allow for the development of snow showers before all precipitation transitions to rain on Wednesday. Snow will fall behind the main front, mainly for the mountains, with total accumulations from this storm around 1-3”. Cold temperatures will follow into this weekend. A quick clipper system on Monday could bring another shot of snow. The potential exists for a major storm on Tuesday, but it is too early to say with certainty what will happen.
