Summary
This week will see unsettled weather with heavy rain and strong winds in the South Island today, especially in Canterbury, moving to the North Island by Saturday. A light snow dusting is expected in the Southern Lakes early Saturday. Another front brings dense snow to the Southern Lakes and mid-slopes in Canterbury on Sunday and Monday. Forecasts remain uncertain.
