Quiet Weekend, More Action Next Week
Summary
All resorts will see a break this weekend, with Spring conditions setting in. Later on Monday, a storm will begin to impact the northern zone with rain and snow. By Wednesday, solid accumulations will have piled up in the north with a return to soft conditions. More storms are possible later in the week but as expected this time of year, cold air is hard to find.
Short Term Forecast
Warm air and Spring conditions will dominate the weekend, so get after that corn! If you like fresh snow though, stick around for the start of next week.
A closed low-pressure system will cross the northern zone starting on Sunday bringing rain and snow showers to the northern zone. Snow levels will be very high to start, likely above mid-mountain for the northern resorts, but will start to fall Sunday night. By Monday night, snow levels will be closer to, if not below, base elevations with heavy snow continuing through Tuesday morning. Some lingering snow showers are possible on Tuesday and overall conditions should be good at Valle Nevado and La Parva.

A series of storms begin to impact the central zone starting on Thursday, starting out warm with mostly rain. Cooler air arrives on Friday and a transition back to snow is expected, with some decent accumulations likely in the 10 - 25 cm range by Sunday.
Extended Forecast
Things should quiet down at least briefly later in the weekend and early next week. The long-range models keep chances for snow however, and several resorts will still be open.
